Pasta with Fresh Tomatoes


1 lb. Pasta

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ c. minced basil (1 T. dried)

4 medium tomatoes, diced (1 can chopped)

2 T. lemon juice

2/3 c. olive oil

½ t. salt

¼ t. pepper


Mix all of the ingredients, except the pasta in a medium sized glass bowl.

Cover and let sit, at room temperature, for 3-4 hours.

Cook the pasta according to the directions. Drain, combine with sauce, toss and serve. (Add cooked, cubed chicken if desired)
